Based on benchmark results conducted by Phoronix portal on a Framework 16 laptop with Ryzen 7 7840HS processor, Ubuntu showed impressive performance compared to Windows 11. Running 101 tests in various benchmarks, Ubuntu 24.04 came out as the leader, winning in 68 tests (67.3 per cent). Ubuntu 23.10 came in second place, while Windows 11 came in third place.

The test results showed that Linux shows a significant advantage in application tasks, which may be due to the more efficient operation of Ryzen chips with this operating system. In addition, the makers of the Framework 16 notebook said they designed the device with Linux in mind, which could also have influenced the final results.

These results emphasise Ubuntu's significant performance competitiveness and could be an additional incentive for users to consider this operating system for their needs.
