Google has unveiled a paid version of its Chrome browser designed for enterprise use. The new version, called Chrome Enterprise Premium, differs from the standard free version of the browser with an expanded set of features and security tools.

Chrome Enterprise Premium includes enterprise management tools, providing centralised enforcement of update policies, extension management and more. The subscription also provides support for RDP, SCP, SSH and other types of communication protocols.

The new version of the browser also features advanced security reporting to simplify the forensic process and integration with Google products and third-party security solutions. Context-sensitive access controls for web apps and AI-powered anti-malware and anti-phishing tools, including dynamic URL filtering, are also provided.

A subscription to the new version of Chrome will cost companies $6 per employee per month, which is a relatively low cost for access to additional enterprise features and security tools.
